<p>I just realized, as I stumbled on Google&#8217;s home page, that today is the 50th anniversary of the <a href="http://bioephemera.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/01/lego_table.jpg">atoms of my childhood</a>: the expensive yet totally-worth-it little plastic bricks with teethmarks on them.</p>
<p>Of course, they&#8217;re not shaped like bricks anymore: they have all sorts of specialized parts that cater to <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBVmfIUR1DA&amp;feature=related" title="2nd worst german ever">Ritalin snorting kids</a> whose <a href="http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k128/sxypork/Bananas/thDancingBanana.gif" title="Peanut Butter Jelly with a Baseball Bat!">imagination</a> can&#8217;t fuel rockets that look like <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:PlymouthReliant1987.jpg" title="Fugly">K Cars</a>. Unlike <a href="http://blogs.bootsnall.com/Bucky/wp-content/uploads/2006/10/DSCN4896.JPG" title="Aptly titled "This is my spaceship"">my generation</a>.</p>
<p>Anyways, Happy Birthday LEGO.</p>
